Malcolm James is a self-taught artist living in Natimuk.

 

His drawings are an explosion of line, form and colour where the abstract merges with the faintly familiar. They are deeply anchored in his feelings and observations attached to his everyday , evolving like music where the same instrument is played but each time a different song. Malcolm is compelled to draw constantly - a steadying companion and an uplifting, immersive process of stepping into another, marvellously expansive realm. In 2022 he was the recipient of an Arts Access Accelerate grant and held his first solo exhibition at Redrock Books & Gallery in Horsham
