Alison Eggleton is a cultural producer, with an art curation and visual art practice.

Her art aesthetic reveals the influences of years working as a visual merchandiser for Japanese retailer Daimaru, and three decades of studio practice in sculpture and drawing including a BA in Sculpture at RMIT, Melbourne. Now as an independent senior art curator and artist living in the Wimmera, she has developed an awareness of the fragility of the environment. She feels the need to walk more softly.

An interest in the philosophy of environmental interdependence, in which empathy, reciprocity and stewardship are valued, has been a powerful inspiration for her latest work and renewed studio practice. The act of growing, observing and caring for plants has become both subject and process in her current drawing, painting and collage. Coupled with a significant shift toward the use of colour, she plays with the relationships between pattern and form.
