Alison Eggleton

Alison Eggleton is a cultural producer, with an art curation and visual art practice.

Her deep fascination with objects, materials and spatial relationships has informed her creative working life.

Early studies and work in the disciplines of visual merchandising and sculpture practice led to a decade long visual art practice at the Easy Street Studios in Collingwood, Melbourne. In recent years a long held interest in cultural interpretation and exhibition making took hold, stimulating study in art gallery curation and a Masters by Research at RMIT, Melbourne.

Now as an independent senior art curator, her passion of drawing and object making remains a great source of material expression.

Eggleton’s fondness for arid landscapes and the physicality of rock formations is the inspiration behind her current series of drawings and object installation. She has approached drawing as an open and experimental discipline to explore relationships between patterns, structure and space.
