Tracey Skinner
Tracey Skinner has a background in multiple arts disciplines. Performing arts featured strongly in earlier years both studying and working in Melbourne, London and Japan as a vocalist and dancer. Her interest in textiles, fashion and visual arts led her on a long journey of study in London and is an alumni of RMIT. Self employed as a textile artist with a strong leaning towards screenprint, she also worked as a costume creator for many years.
Inspiration for her work is varied but currently inspired by salt lakes in the region. Hemp fabric is her penchant and along with vintage & recycled textiles she loves the process of reimagining them into new stories.
She operates a small creative space (oh, how she loves spaces) and print studio that seems to also be a resting place for fabulous chairs looking for love.
